Day 266 | Malachi 2:10 –4:6; Joel 1:1–3:21
With Joel’s prophecy, the Old Testament closes not in despair but with hope. God calls His people to true repentance—hearts torn, not garments—and promises restoration and the outpouring of His Spirit on all people. Malachi delivers the final warning, and then comes 400 years of silence. Yet in that silence, God is at work: kingdoms rise and fall, languages and roads are prepared, and a deep hunger for His Word grows. The stage is set for the Messiah to come and for the silence to be broken by the cry of a baby.
